What items can I donate?
The Friends also accept collections of small items like postcards, stamps, trading cards, rocks, souvenirs, coins, etc. Feel free to contact us to discuss.

How & where do I leave my book donation?
Donations can be brought to the main Friends Book Store at 955 Contra Costa Blvd any day from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Please do not leave them when the Store is closed.
Also, please do not bring them to the Library Store due to a lack of storage.
For 10 or more boxes, please call us at (925) 349-9620 to arrange an appointment to donate. If you have two or more boxes, please drive around to the back of the store and ring the doorbell.
What happens to my items?
The money we raise from selling donated materials goes towards programs, books, resources and services for the new library. We have granted over $200,000 to the Pleasant Hill Library in the last three years and with your help, we hope to do more.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, they are. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
